The monthly show about comics and graphic novels. In an episode looking at the performance and screening of work based on comics, Alex Fitch talks to a writer, an artist and a director about staging productions of sequential art.
At the Oxford Comic Con, Alex talks to graphic novelist Ivan Petrus Adriaenssens about the differences between the collected edition and touring production of Cher Ami, a collection of wordless comics about animals in The Great War, with music by Yuko, and on stage at The Lakes International Comic Art Festival, comic book scribe Joe Kelly discusses writing Deadpool and spotting which elements of the character he contributed to appeared in the 2016 film adaptation.
Also, Alex interviews director Leo Warner about the theatre production of City of Glass, based on both the novel by Paul Auster and the graphic novel adaptation by David Mazzucchelli and Paul Karasik, which uses virtual realty, video projection and stage magic to recreate the metaphysical noir story on stage.
