Starting a new series of Panel Borders, Alex Fitch explores the work of two much loved American comic book writers. In a discussion recorded at the Lakes International Comic Art Festival, Alex talks to Joe Kelly about writing superhero comics such as Spider-Man and Justice League, and the graphic novel I Kill Giants which is currently being adapted for the cinema. Joe also talks about his involvement with the group ‘Man of Action’ who co-created animation titles such as Ben 10 and Disney’s reimagining of the Marvel comic Big Hero 6.
Also, in an interview recorded at the London Super Comic Con, Alex discusses with veteran scribe Marv Wolfman his 50 years of writing classic DC comics such as Teen Titans and Crisis on Infinite Earths, how he broke into the industry as a fan writer, and creating memorable characters such as Blade, the Vampire Slayer in the pages of Tomb of Dracula.
