Joe Kelly – Deadpool, I Kill Giants: The latest Panel Borders podcast includes two uncut interviews hosted by Alex Fitch with popular American comic book writer Joe Kelly covering his 20 years in the business, at the Lakes International Comic Art Festival in Kendal. In the first interview, recorded in front of an audience at a screening of the 2016 movie, Alex and Joe discuss the latter’s contributions to the Deadpool franchise, writing the Merc with a Mouth’s first ongoing series in 1997 and creating the character of Blind Al.
Off stage, Alex also talks to Joe about writing superhero comics such as Spider-Man and Justice League, and the graphic novel I Kill Giants which is currently being adapted for the cinema.
Joe also talks about his involvement with the group ‘Man of Action’ who co-created animation titles such as Ben 10 and Disney’s reimagining of the Marvel comic Big Hero 6.
