In a pair of interviews recorded in front of a live audience, the first episode of Panel Borders in 2018 investigates the work of a trio of creators who have an interest in combing music and comic book art. At Thought Bubble Festival, Leeds, Alex Fitch talks to My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way about writing such comics as Doom Patrol, The Umbrella Academy and The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.
Also, at ‘Graphic Brighton presents: Caption’, cartoonist The Surreal McCoy and musician DJ Food discuss their projects The Wolf of Baghdad and The Search Engine, the former a wordless graphic novel set to Arabic music by 3Ayin, and the latter an album with art by 2000AD artist Henry Flint.

5.30pm Wednesday 3rd January 2018, repeated 7am Tuesday 9th January, Resonance 104.4 FM and DAB (London) / broadcast streamed at www.resonancefm.com / Resonance Replay stream on mixcloud.com / podcast after broadcast at www.panelborders.wordpress.com
