Reimagining Classic Doctor Who: In this episode Alex talks to the writers of audio productions which reimagine the ‘Classic’ era of Doctor Who: Emma Beeby, co-writer of three official audio adventures starring Peter Davison and Sylvester McCoy, Christian Erickson from Minnesotan band The Savateem, who have created a concept album called The Caves based on a classic Who serial from 1984, and Brendan Sheppard from Word of Mouth productions who has written a trio of charity audio dramas featuring the first adventures of the Doctor as a teenage boy. Continuing the new hour-long series on Resonance FM in which Alex Fitch talks to creators of audio dramas that have been broadcast on radio or released on CD and mp3 download, in a bimonthly slot alternating with the Electric Sheep Film Show.

Martians and Sherwood Forest: In this episode Alex talks to a pair of writers / sound effects producers who have created FX for different adaptations of The War of the Worlds and penned dramas set in Sherwood Forest. Martin Johnson discusses The Coming of the Martians, a crowdfunded surround sound adaptation of the H.G. Wells novel, and his sci-fi drama Osiris about the discovery of an alien spaceship below Sherwood’s Major Oak. Iain Meadows talks about his revisionist Robin Hood drama – Hood – which imagines the Sheriff of Nottingham as the hero of the saga, and about creating the soundscapes for The Martian Invasion of Earth, World War II drama ATA Girl and the audio version of The Prisoner. Continuing the new hour-long series on Resonance FM in which Alex Fitch talks to creators of audio dramas that have been broadcast on radio or released on CD and mp3 download, in a bimonthly slot alternating with the Electric Sheep Film Show.

In this episode Alex chairs a panel discussion on creating immersive audio recorded at the SCI-FI-LONDON film festival, with B7 Media’s Andrew Mark Sewell and Richard Kurti, the team behind audio adaptations of Dan Dare, The Martian Chronicles and I, Robot, and Jason Haigh-Ellery, CEO of Big Finish Productions who release B7 stories on CD.

Joining them are: Christina Barsi, creator of the sci-fi narrative podcast Dimension, and Charlotte Windle Mikkelborg who produces 3D soundscapes, including the virtual reality short Born into Exile screened at the first UN Special Summit on Refugees.

Also, in an interview recorded at Cartoon County, Tom McNally discusses his move from writing and publishing comics such as Semiotic Cohesion to creating a comedic fantasy podcast entitled Saga of the European King.

Approaching Baker’s End: In this episode Alex talks to the cast and crew of a comedy folk horror series entitled Baker’s End and produced by Bafflegab Productions. Lead actor Colin Baker discusses playing a fictionalised version of himself, Katy Manning explores being a companion of two Bakers and one Pertwee, following the departure of Tom in this serial and her tenure as a Doctor Who companion, and Ewan Bailey talks about joining the cast as the hysterical Reverend Ailing. Also writer Paul Magrs and director Simon Barnard discuss the history and genesis of the series. Originally broadcast 15th November 2017 on Resonance 104.4 FM
