Novels by Lawrence Miles

Lawrence Miles: Andrew Hickey talks to Lawrence Miles about his work, including Doctor Who novels Christmas on a Rational Planet and Alien Bodies, plus his Faction Paradox series. I really wish Miles and the folks on this podcast would see what capitalism is doing in Africa and all through Asia. We have seen the greatest reduction of poverty in the entire history of mankind over the past 20 years because of capitalism. No less a lefty than Bono has publicly stated that we might see the end of dire poverty on this planet within 20 years due to commerce. Africa hasn’t looked so promising in I don’t know how long. What has ruined so much of that continent is the opposite of capitalism, it is cronyism and mercantilism.

If you are looking for hope, if you want to see people clamoring for change, look at the middle east and what is going on in Egypt, Tunisia, and even Yemen. Big things are happening all over the world even if not much is going on in the UK…
