Researching Comics’ Landscapes: In the first of a pair of podcasts looking at academics’ research into comics, this show looks at their explorations of comics in different landscapes. Alex Fitch talks to Dr. Dominic Davies about his work on comics that explore inequality in the Global South in a Q and A recorded at City College, University of London, for the author’s book launch of Urban Comics. Also, as part of a panel discussion on horror comics at Portsmouth DarkFest, Barbara Chamberlin discusses her PhD on depictions of witches and haunted landscapes in comics, and her forthcoming collaborations with artist Jessica Marlton.
Partially broadcast 1st January 2020 on Resonance 104.4 FM / DAB (London)
